The search for alternate routes to certify has generated debates revolving around educational quality. Supporters of the traditional professional certification process argue that to improve the quality of health care delivery and health care student's education it is imperative to ensure that both professional knowledge and subject-matter competency are grounded in a solid foundation of formal training from an accredited school.

NHANHA is an approved and widely recognized national health career certification agency.
AMTAMT is a respected national certification and professional membership association.
NHA offers two distinct paths toward certification for many different health care professionals and health care instructors:  NHA certification examination for health care school graduates, and the NHA Certification Home Study Program for experienced  health care professionals already working in the field!
The NHA Certification Home Study Program is a growing opportunity for experienced individuals who are already working in a health care delivery profession but are not presently certified!
AMT certification is based on career training and education or five years of work experience.
